You’re in Good Company

We are gathered here on All Saints Sunday so that we can be in the good company of the living saints and the good company of the eternal saints

Stewardship as an Act of Proclamation

How far into your day can you get, for example, without hearing or seeing an ad for your favorite breakfast cereal, athletic shoes, or fast food chain? Not very far.

Nineteenth Sunday after Pentecost Week 1 of Stewardship Month Acts 2: 37-47 Oldlutheran.com, the website that describes itself as the “Center for Lutheran Pride,” sells a T-Shirt titled “Lutheran Aerobics.” Printed on the front of the t-shirt is a series of three cartoon frames. The first begins with a person standing up holding the hymnal [...]

Believe it or not…

Have you ever heard of that game called “Two Truths and a Lie”? It’s often used as an ice breaker for groups, especially with youth groups. It’s designed to help you learn something new and interesting about the people around you.

Wealth Management

For several evenings at bedtime, the little girl would repeat the lines of the prayer after her mother. Finally, the little girl decided to go solo. Her mom listened with pride as the child carefully enunciated [...]

Two people – a priest and Levite – people of good reputations – cross the street to avoid coming into contact with him, while a Samaritan, a person with a not-so-good reputation stops and shows him mercy.
